• Responsibility for the choir office • Intensive communication between the choir, chorus direction, choir committee, opera management, operations office, costume department, makeup department, and stage direction • Management of all organizational aspects of the choir's rehearsals and performances (attendance monitoring, updating casts, and assigning substitutes) • Preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, as well as costume fitting schedules • Personnel administration for choir members including cover singers (processing sick notes, leave requests, payroll/settlement processing, and part-time schedules) • Organization of auditions for vacancies in the Staatsoper chorus (sending invitations and supporting candidates on audition days)
• Professional experience working with singers in a professional setting, ideally at an opera house • Musical knowledge, particularly of standard operatic chorus repertoire • Excellent, proactive organizational and communication skills • Team orientation, commitment, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills • Confident demeanor and assertiveness • Willingness to work irregular hours — including evenings, weekends, and public holidays (including on-call duties)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Theasoft experience desirable)
