📋 Description

• Serve as an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) specialist, defining cloud architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps. • Participate in digital transformation and migration initiatives to OCI, including hybrid and multicloud environments. • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, supporting stakeholders in technology decisions with clear assessments of cost, risk, and alternatives. • Maintain and evolve Oracle Database and Exadata environments, covering performance, capacity, patching, upgrades, and backup and restore strategies. • Define and validate high-availability and disaster recovery architectures, including RAC, Data Guard, Autonomous Database, and Exadata Cloud. • Plan and execute complex changes and implementations through the formal change management process (GMUD), including a tested rollback plan and a change window agreed upon with affected teams. • Act as the N3 escalation point for incidents involving OCI, Exadata, or databases. • Ensure compliance with OCI best practices for security, identity, governance, and observability. • Instrument everything you build: monitoring, alerts, and runbooks are prerequisites for production deployment. • Maintain a close relationship with Oracle, keeping up with new features, roadmaps, strategic programs, and critical support cases. • Maintain clear, auditable architectural documentation aligned with corporate frameworks. • Contribute to the evolution of the organization’s cloud services portfolio.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. • Proven experience in solution architecture and cloud computing, with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). • Hands-on experience with Exadata environments, including operations, performance, patching, or migration. • Advanced knowledge of OCI services, including Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud, Object Storage, and observability. • Strong command of high-availability, disaster recovery, and cloud security architectures. • Experience with infrastructure as code, using Terraform or OCI Resource Manager. • Experience working in critical environments with controlled change windows and formal incident management and RCA processes. • Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical risks and trade-offs to non-technical leaders. • Preferred: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications, such as Architect Professional, Autonomous Database, or Observability. • Preferred: Experience with Exadata Cloud@Customer or ExaDB-D. • Preferred: Multicloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as cross-platform integration. • Preferred: Knowledge of FinOps applied to Oracle, including licensing, BYOL, and OCPU sizing, along with SRE practices such as SLI/SLOs and error budgets.
