📋 Description

• Plan and direct all marketing and sales activities of the company • Serve as main point of contact for external clients and potential partners • Design and implement sales and marketing plans focused on securing new and repeat business from biotech and pharmaceutical companies • Qualify targeted oncology and rare disease Sponsors and conduct introductory and follow up meetings with prospective clients • Secure RFPs and work with Business Operations/Proposal Team to create proposals for new business • Strategically coordinate members of the Executive Team to leverage expertise for winning business • Represent the company at trade shows and client-sponsored events • Work closely with Corporate Marketing to design and implement marketing programs supporting sales • Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations, including data management companies and other CROs • Update Salesforce or other metrics tracking software to provide metric driven reporting for company leadership • Provide regular feedback to the Executive Team on pricing, competitiveness, and market conditions and maintain close contact with key Sponsor personnel

🎯 Requirements

• 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a business, scientific or healthcare discipline • 12 years or more in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry • Ability to drive • Availability for domestic and international travel including overnight stays • Preferably 12 years or more in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry with corporate management and sales experience • Ability to update Salesforce or other metrics tracking software • Keen understanding of the Oncology and Rare Disease Development market • Ability to resolve company and client related problems and prioritize workload with little support from management • High self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team • Ability to motivate others to meet timelines and company goals • Focus on continuous improvement and process efficiency • High degree of professionalism, diplomacy and negotiation skills • Ability to identify training needs for direct reports and develop training plans • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills • Ability to conduct formal presentations to varied audiences • Ability to assess and quantify internal and external risks to the company • Practical knowledge of IT tools and systems in use in the company and on project teams
