📋 Description

• Develop supplier development strategies. • Drive cost reductions, negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and oversee work transitions. • Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business unit goals and overall supply chain objectives. • Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, terms, and long-term agreements (LTAs). • Identify and qualify alternate sources of supply to mitigate sole-source risk. • Manage supplier scorecards and drive corrective action plans for underperforming suppliers. • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management on sourcing decisions. • Lead or support work transfers/transitions between suppliers or facilities. • Manage supplier risk assessments, including financial health, capacity, and geopolitical exposure. • Support cost reduction initiatives (should-cost modeling, value engineering, competitive bid events). • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, export control, and configuration management requirements. • Participate in make-vs-buy analyses and total cost of ownership evaluations. • Travel up to 25%.

🎯 Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience • Experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or commodity management, preferably within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment. • Experience negotiating long-term agreements (LTAs) and complex contracts • Familiarity with supplier risk assessment tools and financial health analysis (e.g., D&B ratings) • Experience with configuration management standards and engineering change processes • Knowledge of rare-earth/strategic material sourcing and sole-source supplier dynamics • Six Sigma, Lean, or APICS/CPSM certification • Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, or similar • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of cost reduction • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional and supplier-facing engagement.
