📋 Description

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for a newly created business POD serving Major League Baseball, soccer, women’s sports properties, and emerging new business categories. • Drive revenue growth across both existing partner relationships and new business development opportunities, with accountability for ambitious sales targets. • Identify new sellable assets, category opportunities, and integrated partnership concepts that expand the value of the portfolio. • Lead the business POD by building a strong culture, developing and acquiring talent, growing careers, and creating an environment where the team can perform at a high level and enjoy the work. • Establish clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans that help the POD scale effectively while enabling team members to build confidence, capability, and long-term careers. • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, energy, and commercial excellence while coaching the team through complex opportunities, negotiations, and high-value sales moments. • Serve as the senior leader for key clients by earning trust, creating confidence, and communicating efficiently up and down each client’s organization. • Act as the lead sales executive when needed— taking the front of the room for major pitches, asking for the sale, and supporting the team in selling as often as required. • Partner with the Legends Global Partnerships President and other leaders to pursue, pitch, and win new business within the POD’s area of expertise.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field required ; MBA or advanced degree preferred. • 15+ years of progressive experience in partnership sales, commercial development, or revenue generation within sports, entertainment, media, or related industries. • Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and consistently achieving or exceeding ambitious revenue goals. • Deep experience developing integrated partnership strategies, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and closing enterprise-level deals. • Strong understanding of the sports and entertainment partnership landscape, with the ability to identify emerging categories and new market opportunities. • Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. • Analytical and strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to translate market insight into actionable commercial plans. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with experience using data to manage pipeline health, forecast revenue, and track team performance.
