• Contribute to the conception and management of innovation projects in the field of media communications • Provide support for operational media work, including research, preparing information, and drafting short texts • Assist in planning and implementing ambassador activities • Organize and coordinate internal and external appointments and events, e.g. team retreats and press conferences, and further develop and maintain the team file repository • Support the team lead with organizational and administrative tasks, including preparing materials for presentations and meetings • Contribute to the strategic development of press work, e.g. by proposing ideas to increase the visibility of our topics in a changing media landscape • Work closely with other departments and teams, such as Advocacy, Programs, Fundraising and Marketing, to coordinate communication measures • Take on additional tasks as agreed with the team lead
• Completed university degree in communication, media studies, marketing, or a comparable qualification • Several years (3–5 years) of professional experience in communications, ideally in a press office or editorial environment • Creativity, confident research skills and information preparation, and an affinity for digital media • Good knowledge of project management and the ability to coordinate multiple topics simultaneously and think ahead • Strong organizational skills and enjoyment of working in a structured, reliable manner • Solution-oriented, flexible working style and the ability to maintain an overview under time pressure • Excellent written and spoken German and English • Desirable: knowledge of German and international emergency relief and development cooperation • Strong communication and teamwork skills combined with initiative and proactivity, interpersonal skills and a sense of responsibility
