📋 Description

• Work with engineers, technologists and trades people to help clients succeed in construction of critical oil and gas infrastructure projects • Interpret regulatory and statutory requirements, codes and customer specifications relating to fabrication, welding and materials • Monitor welding parameters • Write procedure qualification records and welding procedure specifications under the direction of the Welding Services Supervisor • Prepare in-house work orders communicating testing requirements to other departments • Maintain traceability of samples and associated documentation • Interpret laboratory test report results under the direction of the Welding Services Supervisor • Conduct welder performance qualification testing under supervision of the Welding Services Supervisor • Assist clients with implementation of welding processes and technologies • Perform routine maintenance on welding machines and general shop upkeep • Maintain a clean working environment and comply with safety regulations • Participate in quality improvement and cost reduction efforts • Coordinate special or ad hoc projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program (three-year program) is required • Welding Examiner Certificate of Competency issued by ABSA is required • CSA W178.2 Level 2 Welding Inspector Certificate of Compliance is required • Must be eligible to register for T.T., C.E.T., or E.I.T. status • Candidates applying for Canadian job openings should be authorized to work in Canada • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations • Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the role
