📋 Description

• Establish and lead PLACE's newly created Project Management Office • Design systems, tools and annual, quarterly and project-level reporting cycles • Provide real-time oversight of PLACE's whole program of work • Assess existing project processes before proposing improvements • Create a more consistent, better-supported project delivery approach across a distributed, remote-first team • Lead back-office project operations including portfolio tracking, reporting and resourcing • Establish and maintain registers for project risks, issues, dependencies and decisions • Embed consistent escalation and resolution processes • Align project processes and reporting with PLACE's Theory of Change and evaluation and learning approach • Build strong working relationships across PLACE's distributed, remote-first team • Implement systems to monitor project delivery and ensure activities are delivered on time and within scope • Establish an external panel of specialists and experts for contracted project work • Adapt the PMO function as PLACE's structure settles after its recent restructure

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience in project management or PMO functions, ideally within a remote or distributed team • Strong diagnostic skills; assess before prescribing solutions • Collaborative approach and comfort engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across a distributed team • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to manage competing priorities proactively and adaptably • Ability to simplify complexity and make insights accessible to non-project-management specialists • Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM or equivalent may be held • Commitment to PLACE's vision, values and principles, particularly community leadership and shared decision-making • Professional resume required • Brief responses to the online application questions required • Cover letters are not accepted
