CQU Indigenous Engagement is a unit within CQUniversity that works to support and strengthen relationships with First Nations communities and students. It delivers culturally appropriate student support, outreach programs, community partnerships, events, and initiatives to improve access, retention and success for Indigenous students, and advises the university on Indigenous engagement, cultural competency and community collaboration. The team also coordinates scholarships, recruitment pathways, cultural programming and partnerships with Indigenous organisations and stakeholders across CQUniversity’s regional and metropolitan campuses.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver practical, engaging training across Project Management and Training and Assessment. • Provide expert guidance on assessment practices. • Ensure learning is aligned with relevant VET standards. • Work with diverse learner groups. • Draw on industry connections and knowledge of current training and industry trends to connect learning with real-world practice. • Deliver training for BSB50820 Diploma of Project Management, BSB40920 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice, and TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

🎯 Requirements

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, support and motivate students from diverse backgrounds. • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122). • A Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, higher-level qualification in adult education, or equivalent. • Relevant industry experience in Project Management and/or Training and Assessment. • Demonstrated experience delivering training or teaching in classroom, industry and/or online environments. • Strong understanding of VET standards, assessment practices and quality requirements. • Current industry knowledge and the ability to maintain strong connections with industry and respond to changing training needs. • Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, which may include a National Police Check and/or Working with Children Check (where applicable). • May be required to declare any past or current allegations, investigations or findings relating to gender-based violence. • May be required to demonstrate that they meet the “fit and proper person” criteria under applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks, including ASQA requirements where relevant. • Candidates must hold the full rights to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.
