📋 Description

• Manage virtualization environments such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V or similar technologies • Administer Windows and Linux servers, ensuring availability, performance and security • Monitor capacity and performance of virtualized environments and operating systems • Perform provisioning, configuration and maintenance of physical and virtual servers • Implement patches, updates and security fixes in the environments under your responsibility • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for incidents related to virtualization and operating systems • Manage clusters, hosts, virtual machines and compute resources • Enforce security policies, hardening and system compliance • Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash or Python • Document procedures, configurations, operational standards and technical architectures • Support migration, upgrade and infrastructure modernization projects • Integrate virtualization environments with storage, backup, monitoring and cloud platforms • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity tests • Collaborate with networking, storage, backup, cloud and information security teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related fields • Experience administering corporate virtualization environments • Knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter or equivalent platforms • Experience administering Windows Server and Linux • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and Microsoft infrastructure services • Knowledge of user management, permissions, services and Linux operating systems • Experience troubleshooting servers and virtualized environments • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, SAN/NAS storage and high availability • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and incident management • Preferred/Plus: experience in critical high-availability environments; knowledge of HCI; experience in modernization and migration projects; collaborative, analytical and problem-solving mindset; interest in automation and continuous improvement; experience with VMware and OpenStack; knowledge of VMware HA, DRS, vMotion and Storage vMotion; experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Server or SUSE Linux; knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python or Ansible; experience with monitoring and observability; knowledge of Microsoft Azure or AWS; experience with enterprise backup solutions; knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes • Desired certifications: VCP-DCV; Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate; RHCSA; AZ-104; AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent; ITIL Foundation
