📋 Description

• Write production and prototype code across the stack • Stand up MVPs and working demos quickly and validate them with real data or real users • Build internal tools and lightweight automation • Ship integrations with devices, sensors, and third-party services • Turn open technical questions about models, hardware, and open-source components into working evidence • Run end-to-end experiments, measure results, document findings, and recommend decisions • Experiment hands-on with humanoid robots • Evaluate build-versus-buy-versus-integrate decisions and defend recommendations • Answer technical questions from the CEO and business stakeholders • Advise leadership on feasibility, effort, and risk • Push back on scope creep and unrealistic timelines • Support technical narratives for decks and funding rounds • Help establish the foundation for hiring and leading additional engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building software professionally, with a track record of shipping products used by real people • Strong hands-on engineering skills; comfortable across the stack and deep in at least one area • Practical AI/ML fluency, including experience with LLMs, speech, or perception systems and understanding their limitations • Experience taking a product from zero to a working first version in an ambiguous environment without a dedicated team • Excellent written and verbal communication • Autonomy and ownership; ability to prioritize without a groomed backlog • Willingness and ability to travel to the US a couple of times a year • Preferred: experience with robotics, humanoids, embodied AI, IoT, or connected devices • Preferred: comfort with edge deployment, audio pipelines, sensors, and on-device inference • Preferred: experience alongside distributed engineering teams • Preferred: early-stage startup background • Preferred: product instinct • Preferred: technical discipline background or equivalent self-taught technical depth • Advanced to Fluent English skills • Must be Brazilian and/or currently living in Brazil • Must provide a link to something built end-to-end
