📋 Description

• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls in a friendly, professional manner and document communications in eClinicalWorks • Book, confirm, and reschedule appointments for new and returning patients • Serve as the primary phone contact and answer non-clinical patient inquiries • Conduct follow-up calls and route clinical questions appropriately • Manage provider calendars and follow up with patients due for routine care or weight management check-ins • Minimize schedule gaps • Prepare, submit, track, and follow up on prior authorization requests for medications, imaging, and procedures • Gather medical documentation and coordinate with insurance carriers to prevent delays in patient care • Update patient demographics and insurance details in eClinicalWorks • Manage patient portal messages and complete daily administrative practice tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years supporting a U.S.-based medical office as a Receptionist, Scheduler, Patient Coordinator, or Medical Admin • Proven experience handling high-volume inbound and outbound patient calls • Experience managing complex scheduling systems • Demonstrated experience submitting, tracking, and following up on insurance prior authorization requests • Excellent spoken and written English with a warm, personable, and clear phone voice • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a long-term commitment • Quiet, HIPAA-compliant home office • Reliable computer setup, high-speed internet, and a clear headset • Preferred: background in Primary Care, Weight Management/Weight Loss, Obesity Medicine, or Internal Medicine • Preferred: hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) • Preferred: experience managing medication prior authorizations for weight management or chronic disease medications • Preferred: experience with Comm IT phone systems, insurance verifications, or basic medical billing/RCM workflows
