• Performing light research and reaching out to new utilities and municipalities • Making 40+ outbound calls per day to spark interest • Qualifying leads by exploring pain points and program details • Tracking your activity and progress towards meeting weekly or monthly targets • Testing new outreach tactics and messaging • Sharing helpful meeting notes and setting up initial sales meetings with prospects • Receiving coaching from internal and external mentors
• 1-2 years of experience as a BDR/SDR or doing other outbound sales • Strong communication skills - comfortable engaging with people and building rapport quickly • Curious and genuinely interested in learning about government programs • Comfortable doing research on public-sector prospects • Willingness to learn, adapt and continuously improve • Organized, detail-oriented and keeping clear notes/ records • Resilient and persistent - with the ability to handle rejection and stay motivated • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving company • Self-driven - comfortable working remotely and proactive about working with teammates • Comfortable working with tools such as CRMs and sales engagement platforms • Bonus points for: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field • Experience working with public-sector stakeholders • Experience selling SaaS or tech solutions
