📋 Description

• Lead and grow a team of engineers • Manage, coach, and mentor 4 software engineers • Provide performance feedback and support career development • Establish and improve software development, operational efficiency, and delivery processes • Partner with Engineering leadership on department strategy and team-wide inefficiencies • Drive management initiatives across Engineering and Technology, including hiring, career development, policies, and budgets • Sponsor Engineering-wide guilds, projects, and activities • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, Marketing, other pods, and cross-functional teams • Lead successful development and delivery of pod projects and operations • Promote Teachable’s values and a diverse-team culture

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience • 1–2+ years of combined technical leadership or people management experience • Proficiency in project management • Track record of making tradeoffs to deliver high-quality projects on time and aligned with business goals • Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams or domains • Ability to make progress amid ambiguity and minimal guidance • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and ownership within teams • Experience mentoring individual contributors across seniority levels and specializations • Experience recruiting, hiring, and leading diverse engineering teams
