📋 Description

• Own the monthly close for the UK balance sheet • Understand transaction flows and revenue channels • Work closely with the UK commercial team to keep financial activities on track • Lead the project to build a retail customer onboarding playbook • Define the requirements and non-negotiables for onboarding major retail partners • Manage one direct report • Participate in the senior Financial Operations leadership team • Collaborate with Financial Accounting Manager peers in Australia and the US/Canada, and with the AR/AP lead • Review and sign off UK balance sheet reconciliations ahead of month-end close • Investigate revenue-channel questions with the UK commercial team • Use AI tools to accelerate reporting tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Experience owning the month-end close from start to finish • Strong understanding of balance sheets and P&L statements • Ability to identify off-budget or off-expectation results • Ability to explain financial results clearly to commercial stakeholders and the CFO • Ability to address process issues and provide direct feedback clearly and kindly • Ability to manage competing deadlines across close timelines, projects, and direct reports • Ability to escalate risks appropriately • Commitment to purpose-led work and improving the world • Ability or willingness to use AI tools such as Claude or Gemini for reporting tasks
