📋 Description

• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, payment platforms, credit cards and employee expenses for multiple client companies. • Maintain cloud-based accounting records using Xero and supporting finance applications such as Dext, Telleroo, Ramp, Campfire and ApprovalMax. • Manage the end-to-end purchase ledger process, including invoice processing, supplier queries and preparing payment runs for review. • Support the sales ledger process, including raising invoices, monitoring outstanding debtors and assisting with credit control. • Take ownership of assigned month-end tasks, ensuring reconciliations and supporting schedules are completed accurately and on time. • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including P&Ls, balance sheets and cash flow reports, together with variance analysis and supporting commentary. • Support payroll processing and pension administration, ensuring information is complete, accurate and submitted within deadlines. • Assist with VAT returns, statutory filings and compliance requirements across multiple clients. • Help onboard new clients onto cloud accounting systems, ensuring accurate opening balances and efficient finance processes. • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase automation and enhance the efficiency of recurring finance tasks. • Maintain high-quality working papers and documentation to support scalable client delivery. • Communicate professionally with clients, responding to queries promptly and building trusted working relationships. • Work collaboratively with the wider client team to provide a joined-up finance service. • Comply with the Organization's Information Security Management System (ISMS), including all applicable information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting • Experience working with UK businesses (preferred) • Experience using Xero and cloud-based finance systems • Strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals and month-end processes • Excellent reconciliation skills and attention to detail • Confidence managing recurring responsibilities independently • A proactive mindset with a desire to continually improve processes • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Comfortable working remotely and managing their own workload • A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues • An interest in AI, automation and using technology to improve finance processes would be advantageous.
