📋 Description

• Prepare and publish Xero reports • Prepare draft Spotlight reports • Prepare Xero Workpapers • Prepare budget templates, populate with known data and comparatives • Prepare and provide final reconciliations to auditors and answer queries • Provide financial information for acquittals and submit via funder portal where appropriate • Draft statutory accounts if required by the contract • Ensure compliance with taxation and other legislation, including FBT and PAYG reporting • Prepare FAQs and short articles on NFP accounting, finance, compliance and governance topics • Maintain knowledge of NFP accounting and compliance matters • Undertake projects as directed • Comply with the Organization's Information Security Management System (ISMS), including applicable information security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines • Implement high-quality accounting practices and maintain quality communication within the team and with clients to meet deadlines and achieve high customer satisfaction

🎯 Requirements

• Tertiary qualified in an accounting discipline • CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion • Ability to troubleshoot inconsistencies and errors • High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage competing priorities during demand peaks • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills • Xero certification • Experience with applications including Xero Suite, Spotlight Reporting, Google Suite, Freshdesk, Jetpack, ReceiptBank and Slack • Non-profit accounting experience is nice-to-have • Proficiency with other accounting and reporting software is nice-to-have • Cross-cultural awareness is nice-to-have
