• Conduct in-person and virtual workshops across Work and Family Life Program areas • Provide one-on-one consultations for service members and families • Provide location-specific information and referral services in person or virtually • Provide disaster preparedness support or crisis-event response worldwide • Provide support aboard Navy ships for shipboard events and Return and Reunions • Enter information and referral, consultation, and group education services into the government’s system of record • Use collaboration platforms, video conferencing software, project management tools, and other technology for stakeholder communication and virtual service delivery • Perform basic troubleshooting when technology challenges occur • Cross-train and support additional program areas as assigned • Support marketing and outreach initiatives promoting program services • Collaborate with FFSP stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute training services • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in social science or related behavioral science field OR a combination of social science education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree OR four years’ equivalent experience • Experience making presentations and facilitating training for large and small groups in person and through online platforms • Experience using digital technology to facilitate virtual training • General knowledge of FFSP programs and experience in one or more program areas: Deployment and Mobilization Support, Ombudsman Training and Support, Relocation Assistance, Life Skills Education, Transition Assistance, Family Employment Readiness • Strong technical acumen with collaboration, communication, video conferencing, project management, custom database, Outlook, and Teams tools • Ability to set up personal computer and AV equipment while traveling • Knowledge of needs assessment tools such as surveys • Knowledge of the military and challenges of military lifestyle • Knowledge of social services and/or community resources • Knowledge of adult education principles and development of training curricula based on the adult learning model • Experience managing multiple priorities • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to prepare management reports • Ability to meet naval shipboard requirements, including physical requirements to navigate onboard • Must be able to obtain health screening requirements, including medical and dental, for travel to remote locations • U.S. Citizenship, valid driver’s license, passport, transportation, and auto insurance required • Must have a quiet space with stable internet connection when not traveling • Ability to carry and transport up to 25 pounds for extended periods may be required
