📋 Description

• Apply quality assurance techniques and methods to examine the output and efficiency of claims business processes • Plan, execute, analyze, and present outcomes of claims-related auditing activities • Organize activities and lead teams under broad management direction • Analyze quantitative claim and financial data to identify auditing opportunities and determine appropriate scope • Review claim handling events to gather qualitative understanding • Analyze qualitative audit data to monitor, communicate, and mitigate top issues and control gaps • Plan and execute claim-related audits and related projects independently and with peers • Assign collaborative work to peers and ensure progress toward shared objectives when appropriate • Prepare persuasive written reports for claims executives and business leaders • Build and maintain a professional network with claims leaders • Facilitate project meetings • Train newer peers in technical aspects of the job • Lead multiple projects concurrently • Step into temporary leadership or support roles within Claims QA or a claims team as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in property claims handling • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Advanced degree (CPA, MBA) in a related area preferred • Exposure to using data in spreadsheets and/or databases for risk detection • Prior audit experience preferred • Ability to recognize interdependencies among complex business processes and anticipate risk potential • Ability to develop recommendations and solutions to complex problems based on data • Ability to communicate complex data and concepts in person, virtually, in writing, and through formal presentations • Ability to teach, lead, and mentor others • Ability to advocate, persuade, and influence employees from individual contributors to senior leadership • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Proficiency with simple relational databases, primarily MS Access • Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities • Ability to travel as needed for divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings • Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States • CSAA does not provide visa sponsorship • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience • Insurance and/or physical damage industry certification, such as AIC or ICAR, preferred • 2–3 years of auditing preferred
