📋 Description

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment • Communicate with internal and external customers by phone and email to schedule jobs and order materials • Perform safety analysis and complete paperwork before starting work • Conduct activities in compliance with ABB HSE, ABB Way, Safety Manual, and Safety policy • Execute startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment • Work on transformers, switchgear, OCBs, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, power management control systems, and related equipment • Participate in outages with field engineers, technicians, contractors, project managers, and site engineers • Write technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status and customer reports, and complete timesheets and expense sheets

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, preference for Electrical or Mechanical OR High School Diploma / GED with 4 additional years of related engineering / field / technical experience • 2 years of field engineering experience or equivalent such as military service preferred • Ability to handle/move circuit breakers and other installed equipment weighing several hundred pounds • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% as required • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license • Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area preferred • Technical skills in testing Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays, and Transformers preferred • Experience repairing and refurbishing LV and MV circuit breakers, including Siemens, GE, ABB, Square D, Multilin relays, and Switzer Relays preferred • Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting medium voltage synchronous machines, excitation systems, controls systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers a plus • Candidates must already have work authorization permitting them to work for ABB in the US
