📋 Description

• Provide scientific and medical leadership for credible relationships with strategically important thought leaders and external experts • Establish a strong medical and scientific presence for Abbott Diabetes Care in key academic centers by facilitating research and educational initiatives • Support requests for medical and scientific information on products and therapeutic areas • Collaborate cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence • Serve as a medical and scientific affairs contact for thought leaders and external experts within the assigned geographic area • Deliver scientific presentations to healthcare providers individually or in groups, focusing on Tier 1 and 2 thought leaders • Participate in selecting qualified thought leaders for educational and advisory collaborations, including Advisory Boards, Congresses, and Symposia • Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop summaries of key data and scientifically relevant information • Staff the Medical Affairs area of exhibit booths at national scientific meetings and congresses • Provide scientific and technical support for scientific or medical publications • Ensure activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and accepted best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health sciences field • Advanced degree required, such as PharmD, MD/DO, NP/DNP, PA, or PhD, in a relevant scientific discipline • Licensure/Board Certification required • Current and relevant clinical licensure and board certification, such as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate, or Pharmacist, in accordance with applicable state and/or national regulations • Prior MSL experience strongly preferred • Ability to cover Maryland, Washington DC, and Delaware territories • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
