📋 Description

• Maintain and support a variety of applications • Provide support within the database environment for a U.S. Government client • Ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods • Translate high-level product development strategies into system requirements specifications • Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop detailed implementation requirements • Establish and coordinate standards, practices, and procedures related to product development • Design interfaces and integrate system elements • Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures • Act as a customer liaison and support business development activities • Participate in system conceptual design and document design concepts • Participate in hardware and software design reviews • Develop system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures • Review test plans and procedures and participate in testing activities • Modify existing databases and database management systems, or direct required changes • Develop and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify database identifiers • Coordinate database development as part of a project team • Determine project scope, requirements, and limitations • Review database project requests and estimate completion time and cost

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • 4+ years of IBM z/OS mainframe experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO/ISPF, and Endevor • Strong knowledge of IDMS and ADSO (Application Development System Online) • Ability to design, code, and test software based on defined requirements • Basic understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including business/systems analysis, requirements gathering, functional specification development, coding, testing, and delivery • Familiarity with Agile methodology is a plus • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills • Must be a US Citizen (no dual citizenship) • Able to obtain DoD Public Trust clearance • Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years; military service excluded
