📋 Description

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab • Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform • Manage containerized deployments using Docker and AWS ECS • Create and maintain shared deployment tooling, pipeline templates, and Terraform modules for self-service infrastructure • Integrate automated quality, security, and accessibility gates into GitLab pipelines • Configure monitoring and observability tooling, including CloudWatch dashboards and synthetic canaries • Support security vulnerability remediation through trusted base images, Renovatebot dependency updates, and container scans • Participate in on-call and production triage rotations, including Tier 2/3 incident response and BCDR activities • Collaborate with cloud architects, backend engineers, and security teams to enforce infrastructure-as-code standards and prevent configuration drift • Author and maintain runbooks, deployment documentation, and ADRs • Support recruiting by evaluating homework assignments and potentially assisting with interviews

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree • Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch across multi-account environments • Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code provisioning and drift prevention • Demonstrated experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab • Strong working knowledge of Docker containerization and container orchestration on AWS ECS • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices including SAST, dependency scanning, and automated vulnerability remediation • Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals • Preferred: experience managing infrastructure across 10+ AWS accounts with agency-level data isolation requirements • Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration platforms • Preferred: experience with Grafana, New Relic, or CloudWatch synthetic monitoring • Preferred: prior work in federal environments or familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, or ATO processes • Preferred: experience supporting SAFe or scaled Agile delivery teams as a platform or infrastructure provider
