📋 Description

• Support scope, schedule, and delivery requirements with minimal leadership oversight • Contribute to the program's DevOps and software engineering strategy • Collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and services • Mentor team members • Lead small, less critical, temporary team structures and projects • Present design documents and system diagrams to clients, stakeholders, partners, and engineers • Design cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, evaluating cost, reliability, and efficiency tradeoffs • Build libraries, modules, and packages for infrastructure engineers • Build cloud infrastructure that supports applications and improves developer experience • Develop CI/CD processes to deliver higher-quality software faster • Integrate tools for quality thresholds, security vulnerabilities, and static analysis • Build application test and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, CircleCI, and GitLab CI • Work with government partners and application teams to meet security, SLA, and performance requirements • Participate in technical-depth interviews with candidates

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) • Expertise in key DevOps concepts: installing software, virtualization, containerization, networking, etc. • Expert-level knowledge in Terraform/Terragrunt • Expert-level knowledge in GitHub Actions and Argo CD • Expert-level knowledge in HAProxy/OpenResty • Expert-level knowledge in AWS Cloud Services, including EKS/Kubernetes • U.S. citizenship or current legal authorization to work and reside in the United States without employer sponsorship • Ability to successfully complete and maintain any required government background investigation • Preferred: comfort level with both DevOps and SRE functions • Preferred: expertise with observability using Datadog • Preferred: experience with security tooling using Trivy and Aqua • Preferred: experience with FedRAMP/ATO process
