📋 Description

• Own the build, test, and deploy pipeline • Implement progressive rollouts, fast rollbacks, and deploy-confidence practices • Make and enforce fully reproducible infrastructure environments via code • Define and achieve uptime targets relied upon contractually by bank customers • Build monitoring, alerting, and incident-response capabilities • Mature on-call practices from heroics into a systematic process • Ensure change management, access controls, and audit logging produce evidence for regulated financial institutions • Partner with the security function on SOC 2 and bank due-diligence requirements • Own and optimize the cloud bill • Serve as the first dedicated DevOps hire and own infrastructure end to end

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / platform engineering roles • Experience as an early or solo infrastructure hire strongly preferred • Deep fluency with AWS • Production infrastructure-as-code experience • Experience building CI/CD pipelines • Experience with observability, system instrumentation, SLOs, and incident processes • Comfortable operating in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment, or eager to learn SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements • Default to automation and mechanisms over manual process • Ability to document what you build • Pragmatic judgment appropriate for a 50-person company scaling toward 400 people • Fintech, banking, or other regulated-industry experience nice to have • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture nice to have • Database operations experience (backups, migrations, performance) nice to have • Security-adjacent skills: secrets management, network segmentation, least-privilege IAM nice to have
