📋 Description

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team • Lead engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems and support delivery • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle • Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and partner on risk and trade-off decisions • Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues • Own team operations and availability, including monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, alerting, and on-call efforts • Set or improve code review and design standards and advocate for them through writing and tech talks • Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example • Participate in a required on-call rotation • Define long-term technical strategy and build performant, accessible user experiences impacting conversion, retention, and growth

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale • Experience with Python or Kotlin • Track record developing highly available distributed systems • Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes • Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components • Elegant, simple, and extensible system design • Ability to write high-quality, understandable code • Proficiency making significant changes in large codebases safely • Experience developing tools and practices for safe codebase changes • Proactive ownership of professional growth and feedback-seeking • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
