📋 Description

• Own the production-system build across the full Make value stream, from incoming materials through release-readiness • Conduct rapid diagnostics and translate findings into sequenced deployment roadmaps • Build and sustain tiered daily management, leader standard work, visual performance management, SQDC boards, KPI ownership, and structured escalation • Own and run the kaizen funnel, leading events and workshops to improve yield, cycle time, efficiency, right-first-time execution, changeovers, and manufacturing-to-quality handoffs • Translate site and business objectives into floor-level priorities through strategy deployment / Hoshin Kanri • Connect operational performance to throughput, sellable capacity, client commitments, release cycle time, right-first-time, inventory, working capital, and cost • Build and maintain a transformation scorecard for KPI performance, value capture, and countermeasure tracking • Use MES, electronic batch records, shop-floor data systems, analytics, digital tools, and AI tools to feed daily management and surface abnormalities • Lead and mentor A3 and PSP structured problem-solving at the Gemba • Lead value stream mapping across batch lifecycle, transactional and quality flows, batch-record review, deviation handling, and client response • Partner with Quality on operating-system elements of the release maturity roadmap • Apply the production system to tech transfer and new product introduction • Coach and develop supervisors, operators, and emerging practitioners in standard work, daily management, structured problem-solving, and Lean fundamentals • Own the production-system standard and embed standardized ways of working, governance routines, and accountability mechanisms • Coordinate benchmarking and external best-practice analysis • Rotate across the North American ATD footprint and partner with Quality and Manufacturing leadership at each location • Transfer ownership of the production system to site teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a life science, chemical, engineering or biochemical engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 10+ years in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment • 8+ years of Lean hands-on accountability for process performance across the Make value stream • Deep experience in chemical or pharmaceutical synthesis and GMP manufacturing • Hands-on experience deploying and sustaining a production or business operating system in a line role, including strategy deployment, tiered daily management, kaizen, standard work, visual management, and structured problem-solving • Track record of delivering measurable, sustained business results through transformation across safety, quality, delivery, throughput, yield, cycle time, cost, or client performance • Deep command of structured problem-solving and root-cause methodology • Ability to coach operators and influence senior leaders • Significant travel to NASD facilities in Frederick and Boulder, Colorado, and across the broader ATD footprint • Experience in Lean manufacturing in a complex or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus • Experience with tech transfer, process validation, or new product introduction in biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus • Lean, Six Sigma, TPS, or Danaher Business System certification is a plus
