📋 Description

• Serve as a key member of Airbnb's Threat Detection & Response team • Define and execute approaches to detecting, containing, and mitigating threats and incidents • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve Airbnb security through investigation and incident root-cause analysis • Investigate security incidents using digital forensics and data analytics • Hunt, detect, and respond to threats using coding, data analytics, and investigation skills • Build automation and detection models for anomalous activity identification and threat mitigation at scale • Hunt for threats in corporate and production environments • Build advanced detection solutions with engineering teams • Conduct complex investigations with partner teams • Identify infrastructure gaps and improve visibility through logging and detection • Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams on large-scale response • Mentor other team members

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in security operations, including investigations, incident response, incident management, digital forensics, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and/or detection engineering • Proficiency in Python or another scripting language • Frequent use of SQL and Pandas • Familiarity with Elasticsearch preferred • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance • Ability to lead people through complex, ambiguous situations through influence rather than authority • Ability to work calmly and collaboratively in critical high-stress situations • Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills • Knowledge of the Cyber Kill Chain Framework and MITRE ATT&CK Framework and their application to the threat landscape • Experience automating security detection and response • Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS preferred
