⢠Conduct research on law firms, bar associations, CLEs, and animal-law opportunities and issues ⢠Research landlord, tenant, and other housing-related issues ⢠Research animal custody disputes ⢠Research dangerous dog designations and breed-specific restrictions ⢠Research tort law matters and negligence issues ⢠Research issues involving animals being considered property under the law ⢠Work as an integral member of the Pro Bono Program team on projects advancing program and organizational goals ⢠Participate in scheduled networking and engagement activities with staff and other clerks ⢠Discuss specific responsibilities during interviews
⢠Current 2L (or part-time program equivalent) or LLM student at an ABA accredited law school ⢠Eligibility to work in the United States ⢠Sincere interest in animal protection ⢠Superior legal research and writing skills, including ability to tailor voice and style to various audiences ⢠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ⢠Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively in a mission-driven, team-oriented environment ⢠Willingness to accept a variety of assignments within animal law ⢠Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills ⢠Ability to work independently and remotely ⢠Ability to use discretion regarding confidential and emotional aspects of the work ⢠Access to a computer with internet and Microsoft Suite ⢠Familiarity with animal law preferred ⢠Personal United States address required ⢠Ability to work primarily from the personal United States address
