📋 Description

• Lead the evolution of backend architecture, focusing on refactoring and optimizing existing data pipelines • Develop next-generation distributed data storage and processing systems designed for indefinite scalability and improved query performance • Design clean, expressive interfaces that abstract complexity for web applications, business analytics, and AI data consumers • Identify and develop scalable, performant solutions • Shape product strategy and execution across disciplines • Develop code architecture and quality foundations • Mentor and coach engineers • Establish and uphold engineering processes supporting high-quality engineering • Transform infrastructure into a robust, high-performance foundation

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required • 8+ years of production-level engineering experience building highly scalable systems • 4+ years acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting • 4+ years working with SQL or other database querying languages on large multi-table datasets • Experience architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience building CI/CD pipelines • Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go • Preferred: experience building highly scalable and reliable infrastructure • Preferred: expertise in ETL/ELT data pipelines and ingestion systems for large-scale real-time and batch processing • Preferred: experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, SQL, Python, or Databricks • Preferred: hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed architectures • Preferred: proficiency with replication, sharding, partitioning, indexing, and caching strategies • Preferred: understanding of data security, governance, and compliance principles • Preferred: experience with infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and architecture reviews • Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, use computers and keyboards extensively, and occasionally walk and lift
