📋 Description

• Design, architect, engineer, and develop Google Cloud infrastructure for business strategies and requirements • Influence strategy and execute engineering roadmaps around infrastructure as a service • Execute strategic engineering proof of concepts around infrastructure platforms • Champion engineering practices and help teams define and set up frameworks for infrastructure as code and automation • Troubleshoot availability and performance incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventative measures • Lead postmortem activities to identify systemic solutions that improve overall platform operations • Recommend and improve technology-related policies and procedures • Evaluate performance trends and expected changes in demand and capacity, and establish scalability plans • Develop strategies for application and infrastructure monitoring aligned with enterprise strategy and industry trends • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, pairing sessions, and hands-on technical leadership • Provide operational support and serve as a thought leader and team anchor • Evaluate new products, software, and projects and lead their adaptation into the platform • Model paired programming and test-driven practices • Drive continuous improvement efforts

🎯 Requirements

• 7 or more years of experience in Cloud • Experience with Google Cloud networking components (Cloud Interconnect, Cloud DNS, routing) • Experience with Google AI products, Agent Platform, Cloud Storage, IAM, and Compute Engine • Experience in Terraform development • Google Cloud platform experience • Generative and Agentic AI experience • Programming experience with Python • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform, including Tofu/Env0 tools • Background investigation required • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home • Appropriate desk and seating when working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Valid Photo Identification available at the start of the interview (not required for internal candidates)
