• Serve as a first responder for critical operational events, including extended downtime, equipment failures, startup/restart failures, and chronic defect, scrap, or throughput crises • Deploy to any U.S. or Canada plant on short notice to assess conditions, stabilize operations, and execute corrective action • Act as on-site technical leader during escalation events with Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, and Maintenance Leaders • Lead root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented, verified, and sustained • Provide hands-on technical leadership across blow molding, bottle processing, packaging, upstream/downstream equipment, utilities, maintenance, and production systems • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and controls-related issues on the plant floor • Support execution of corrective actions alongside plant teams • Perform major preventive maintenance and overhaul work • Operate blow mold production lines in emergency situations • Build technical capability through hands-on training for operators and maintenance technicians • Support and improve operator and maintenance technical training programs • Identify recurring issues and systemic gaps affecting safety, quality, cost, or delivery • Implement standard work, processes, and controls to prevent recurrence and sustain improvements • Reinforce safety, PPE, environmental, and regulatory compliance during interventions and recovery activities • Coordinate with equipment vendors and technical service providers during escalations • Support vendor troubleshooting, parts strategy, and post-event learning • Document root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned • Provide executive-level summaries after major interventions
• 6–10 years’ experience in a high-output plastics manufacturing environment • Strong exposure to bottle processing operations • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and/or production technical roles • Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting blow molding systems and downstream bottle processing equipment • Proven ability to lead under pressure during unplanned operational events • Strong decision-making in fast-moving environments with incomplete information • Willingness and capability to work hands-on on the plant floor • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in manufacturing environments • Must support manufacturing plants across the United States and Canada • Willingness to travel up to 100%, often with little advance notice • Ability to work extended hours during critical recovery periods • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Preferred: Experience leading multi-site or organizational-level technical initiatives • Preferred: Budget and cost-management exposure • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional operations and maintenance teams • Preferred: Strong communication skills and ability to influence without authority
