📋 Description

• Grow group, convention, and event business for a destination resort and 25,000-square-foot convention center • Build a true outbound sales engine • Identify, pursue, and convert new business • Sell flexible, contiguous meeting and event space • Sell group guestrooms, banquet facilities, and resort experiences for corporate meetings, associations, trade shows, and social groups • Build a territory and create target-account lists • Make outbound calls and open new relationships • Develop relationships and generate demand in-market • Work closely with the on-property sales team and full-time Sales Coordinator • Travel to the resort as business needs require

🎯 Requirements

• At least two years of relevant conference or hotel sales experience required • Demonstrated hotel, resort, convention, destination, or group-sales experience • Strong working knowledge of the Pacific Northwest meetings, conventions, and group-sales market • Proactive hunter mentality; comfortable building a territory, creating target-account lists, making outbound calls, and opening new relationships • Existing relationships with corporate, association, meeting-planner, third-party, or group accounts in the Pacific Northwest highly desirable • Proven ability to sell meeting space, guestrooms, banquet/event business, or comparable hospitality products • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, and relationship-building skills • Ability to work independently in a remote/market-based environment while remaining closely connected to the on-property team • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to travel to the resort as business needs require • Knowledge of the Pacific Northwest meetings and group-sales market
