📋 Description

• Own the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, general ledger, revenue, accounts payable, payroll, tax and audit readiness • Own the close calendar, including task assignment, deadlines, review and delivery of close results to the Head of Finance • Review and post journal entries and prepare judgment-based entries, including commission and bonus accruals, payroll true-ups and period-end reclasses • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and month-over-month and year-over-year flux analysis • Maintain the chart of accounts, product master lists and reporting mappings • Review and approve monthly revenue close across Stripe, Salesforce and QuickBooks Online • Own ASC 606 revenue recognition policy and related judgment calls • Own ARR and CARR reporting and reconcile bookings, billings and recognized revenue • Oversee invoicing, collections, dunning, concessions, credit memos, refunds and deferred revenue schedules • Oversee vendor bills, payment runs and employee reimbursements in Ramp • Partner with People Operations on domestic and international payroll • Update expense forecasts and maintain amortization and accrual schedules • Coordinate tax filings and own sales tax, 1099 and entity registration compliance • Run audit readiness and execution, including PBC lists, supporting schedules and auditor questions • Manage and develop a small analyst team • Serve as backup across the team and as the Head of Finance’s delegate on accounting matters • Maintain accounting SOPs, close checklists and task repositories • Identify and eliminate inefficient processes while extending finance automation and AI workflows

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of a full close cycle and hands-on balance sheet reconciliation • Solid full general ledger background, including payroll, accruals and revenue entries • Ability to explain accounting activity through the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement • Revenue recognition experience under ASC 606 in a subscription business • Experience managing, reviewing and developing other accountants • QuickBooks Online required, with daily hands-on experience in chart of accounts, journal entries, bank reconciliation and reporting • Stripe required, including subscriptions, invoices, credit memos, disputes, payouts and general-ledger reconciliation • Advanced Google Sheets, including pivots, lookups, nested logic and data validation • Demonstrated, current use of AI in accounting work • Ability to write prompts, iterate on AI output and assess when not to trust it • CPA or active CPA candidate preferred • SaaS or technology industry experience preferred • Prior exposure to a modern expense, HRIS or close-management platform preferred • Hands-on approach to reviewing and preparing accounting work • Clear written communication
