Paxos partners with major enterprises to enable payments and tokenization while operating under trust charters and payments licenses.

📋 Description

• Own the intercompany framework across Paxos entities, including agreements, transfer pricing calculations, true-ups, invoicing, settlement and netting • Serve as the accounting team's point of contact for statutory audits and regulatory examinations across jurisdictions • Manage PBC request lists, coordinate responses, track open items, and drive debriefs and follow-up improvements • Coordinate tax compliance support with tax advisors and the internal tax lead • Gather support, track filing calendars, and reconcile intercompany and entity data to filed information • Oversee relationships with in-country accounting partners and outsourced providers • Ensure local statutory reporting reconciles to US GAAP and is delivered on time • Lead or support entity restructurings, new-entity setup, functional-currency changes, and acquired-business ERP/reporting integration • Build and maintain ownership maps, calendars, trackers, and process documentation • Translate accounting, tax, and regulatory details into updates and recommendations for Finance leadership and cross-functional partners • Identify process, control, and documentation gaps and drive scalable improvements • Develop knowledge of blockchain technology, enterprise cryptocurrency, and Paxos' regulation-first approach

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of combined experience in public accounting and in-house accounting • Meaningful experience at a multinational or multi-entity organization • Bachelor's degree in accounting • CPA (or equivalent) • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP • Familiarity with differences between US GAAP and local statutory reporting • Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and transfer pricing • Experience coordinating statutory audits, regulatory examinations and/or tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions • Experience managing external auditors and advisors to deadlines • Exceptional organization and program-management skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across cultures, countries and time zones • Proficiency with NetSuite or another multi-entity, multi-currency ERP • Comfort using AI tools to draft, summarize and organize work • Nice to have: experience in financial services or other regulated entities • Nice to have: exposure to affiliate-transaction rules or regulatory capital requirements • Nice to have: experience with entity restructurings or functional-currency changes
