📋 Description

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, project scope, and technical specifications • Provide technical guidance on HVAC system designs, equipment selections, and technical feasibility • Recommend products based on cost, energy efficiency, and performance optimization • Prepare and present technical presentations to clients and internal teams • Estimate HVAC system costs, including equipment and third-party line-item costs • Develop accurate, competitive cost proposals aligned with project budgets • Assess project risks, constraints, and timelines • Evaluate customer needs and recommend HVAC systems, including small and large tonnage chillers and Solution and Custom air handling units • Use design tools and software to size, select, and configure HVAC equipment • Prepare scopes of work and detailed technical proposals and specifications • Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance • Ensure proposals and quotes are well documented and aligned with client expectations • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Sales, product development, and technical teams • Stay current on HVAC technologies, product offerings, and industry best practices • Respond to customer inquiries, provide application guidance, and recommend solutions throughout the sales process • Build and maintain customer relationships through responsive communication and technical expertise

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field • 5+ years of HVAC engineering experience focused on pre-sale activities such as estimating, system selection, and technical scopes • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and applications, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air conditioning • Understanding of HVAC industry standards, energy codes, and building regulations • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical presentation skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines • Professional certification in HVAC (e.g., ASHRAE, AEE, or similar) preferred • Previous HVAC system design, estimating, or sales support experience preferred • Knowledge of BIM and AutoCAD is a plus • Experience with Johnson Controls/York Products and Services preferred • Proficiency in HVAC software and system design programs such as Solution Navigator, Trane Trace, and Carrier HAP preferred
