📋 Description

• Oversee operations and management of Procurement’s Contract Manufacturing Strategic Sourcing team • Drive execution and delivery of strategic sourcing priorities aligned with External Supply financial targets and goals • Develop and execute procurement sourcing strategies for Contract Manufacturing • Lead the global Contract Manufacturing Strategic Sourcing team through direction, mentorship, and execution leadership • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities and inefficiencies for year-over-year value capture • Own and deliver annual savings and value plans aligned with category, business, and Finance strategies • Advise External Supply and influence sourcing agendas with business executives • Partner with Finance executives and provide financial leadership • Develop team capabilities, diversity and inclusion, and continuous improvement in sourcing and contracting processes • Set goals and prioritize team work across multiple initiatives; provide performance feedback • Support Sourcing Managers in translating strategic programs into sourcing deliverables and outcomes • Curate supplier partnerships and deepen knowledge of supplier capabilities and innovation opportunities • Identify and mitigate supply risk while ensuring regulatory compliance • Monitor and report Strategic Sourcing performance metrics • Implement process improvement, environmental sustainability, supplier diversity, and automation initiatives • Maintain knowledge of industry standards and evolve Amgen’s contractual position to drive competitive advantage

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 3 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations experience • Master’s degree and 7 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations experience • Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations experience • Associate’s degree and 12 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations experience • High school diploma/GED and 14 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations experience • Minimum of 3 years of experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation • Experience preferably in a regulated industry • In-depth knowledge of Strategic Sourcing best practices across Contract Manufacturing • Familiarity with GLP, GMP, ISO, and OSHA standards and regulations • Ability to lead and manage procurement teams supporting capital, COGM, and COS expenditures • Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring, sourcing optimization, and compliance • Strong verbal and written communication skills with executives • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams • Ability to lead through ambiguity • High degree of initiative and self-motivation • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully • Team-oriented focus on achieving team goals
