• Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent experts and clinicians throughout the US • Network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, and pharmacy directors • Communicate scientific/medical information and commercial value of products to medical and internal/external audiences • Obtain, integrate, and communicate customer feedback • Pair customers’ unmet needs with available internal resources • Collaborate with functional areas on scientific, medical, and health economic information opportunities • Identify potential speakers and train them on scientific content for sponsored external speaker programs • Participate in conferences, meetings, and scientific venues to support strategy, obtain competitive information, track clinical trends, and maintain investigator relationships • Evaluate external clinical research collaboration opportunities and facilitate investigator-initiated and company-sponsored trials • Monitor competitive advances, trends, treatments, therapies, products, and features; provide feedback to senior leadership
• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience • Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered) • Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to network • Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management, conferences, workshops, and company meetings • Ability to work up to 15-hour days due to travel when needed • Ability to learn new business applications across hardware tools such as PC and iPad • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Professional, proactive demeanor • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
