• Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate healthcare providers, and access stakeholders within the assigned geography • Answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR-related questions through one-to-one, group, and remote interactions • Present scientific and clinical information accurately and compliantly to thought leaders and healthcare providers • Assess the medical landscape and understand stakeholder needs and expertise • Maintain knowledge of treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, HEOR, and scientific activities • Monitor the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models • Identify opportunities for disease-state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research • Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings • Collect and communicate meaningful medical insights to medical and commercial organizations • Develop geography-specific Field Medical and thought-leader interaction plans • Contribute to institution/account plans and scientifically meaningful medical programs • Collaborate with cross-matrix field teams • Support medical/scientific training and provide scientific updates to internal stakeholders • Provide scientific support at promotional meetings and congress activities • Support interventional and non-interventional research studies, including site identification and patient recruitment • Provide study feasibility recommendations and insights to clinical development teams • Support healthcare providers through investigator-sponsored research submission, execution, and follow-up • Ensure investigators understand and apply pharmacovigilance procedures and report identified adverse events • Support CRO-sponsored studies as agreed with home office medical and Global Development Operations
• MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with experience in a specific disease area or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience • Disease-area knowledge and understanding of scientific publications • Knowledge of a scientific or clinical area, competitive landscape, and patient treatment trends • Knowledge of clinical trial design and process • Knowledge of the national healthcare and access environment • Knowledge of HEOR core concepts • Excellent English language skills, spoken and written • Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment • Prior MSL experience • Ability to work independently and as a team player • Ability to translate scientific or clinical data into understandable and valuable information • Good communication and presentation skills for research and healthcare professionals • Ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with thought leaders, scientists, and healthcare professionals • Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn new subject areas and environments • Demonstration of BMS Values • Ability to drive a company-provided car • Must be able to drive a BMS-provided vehicle between locations, often great distances apart • High level of ethics and integrity • Responsible and safe driving history • Must live in the managed territory or within 50 miles of the territory borders • Travel required
