📋 Description

• Act as the primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, and other healthcare providers • Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy to provide accurate information and improve patient outcomes • Conduct peer-to-peer activities with obesity and related-conditions opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and PHDMs • Engage with clinical investigators and sites in support of the obesity pipeline • Communicate clinical, outcomes, and economic data to PHDMs within assigned IDNs and institutions • Connect external and internal stakeholders to amplify Amgen’s reach and patient access • Conduct in-depth scientific exchange consistent with MSL compliance standards • Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially serve as a study lead • Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research • Present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders • Lead and support congress activities • Support speaker training and ensure speakers are updated on new data • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics • Partner compliantly across Amgen field roles to create a coordinated One Amgen experience • Mentor other MSLs as designated by MSL leadership • Complete administrative responsibilities and training, including Veeva CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules • Maintain and improve clinical/scientific acumen and expertise with current data, information, and healthcare trends

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred; other doctoral degrees considered • Seven or more years in a medically related field preferred, including 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research • Experience in a medically related field may include post-doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships • 2+ years in a medical science liaison role in a biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred • Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred • Cardiometabolic and/or obesity expertise preferred • Experience with the designated territory preferred • Strong collaboration and communication skills • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders • Ability to communicate scientific data effectively • Maintain current clinical/scientific knowledge and healthcare trend expertise • Complete required administrative and compliance training, including Veeva CRM and expense reports
