📋 Description

• Define, shape, and drive the organization’s strategic vision and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives • Partner with the Chief Development Officer and senior leaders to identify growth opportunities and optimize operational performance • Lead high-impact change across the business • Own strategic initiatives across the Office of Strategy and Transformation portfolio • Manage teams and AMSURG resources to drive projects to completion and build team capabilities • Set enterprise capability strategy and longer-term growth and partnership strategy with executive leadership • Report to the AMSURG Chief Development Officer and participate in executive discussions and leadership meetings • Provide long- and short-term strategic planning and problem-solving leadership • Serve as strategic advisor to executive leadership • Develop and execute AMSURG’s multi-year enterprise strategy with the CEO, COO, and Business Development leader • Set and execute geography-level growth and portfolio strategies with Operations, Development, and corporate functions • Build planning, coordination, and executive reporting capabilities • Lead efforts to become a high-performing organization and drive accountability and execution • Support Board of Directors engagement and reporting • Direct the CDO’s enterprise priorities by managing the CDO’s Chief of Staff and facilitating executive governance • Lead qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop data-driven solutions • Synthesize and communicate status updates and recommendations to senior leadership • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives and culture building • Develop and lead the Office of Strategy and Transformation team • Design and initiate projects and shape the OST portfolio • Develop OST into a high-performing, high-capacity team • Directly manage and oversee 6–9 OST positions, including coaching, mentorship, project staffing, performance assessment, and career development • Represent AMSURG with external resources such as consultants • Manage OST engagements, workstreams, deliverables, milestones, executive insights, and resource allocation

🎯 Requirements

• 15–20 years of post-MBA professional experience • Post-MBA management consulting experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm • Experience leading corporate strategy within the healthcare industry • Direct experience and working knowledge of the healthcare provider market landscape • ASC experience is a plus • Experience across growth strategy, transformation, and operations strongly preferred • Ability to execute, project manage, and implement enterprise strategy • Superior critical thinking skills, including problem definition, data collection, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions • Ability to run and manage highly complicated quantitative analysis in a defect-free manner • Demonstrated track record leading teams with strong upward feedback • Bachelor’s degree required • MBA preferred • Exceptional academic credentials • Experience leading departments or organizations with high-stakes, high-visibility outcomes • Experience managing cross-functional teams and projects • Strong communication and presentation skills • Ability to think critically and resolve issues to meet target deadlines • Passion for building teams and organizations • Ability to function in a high-demand, performance-driven environment and manage multiple tasks in parallel • Strong leadership skills and ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management • Ability to deliver on short time frames and meet deadlines • Ability to make presentations
