The company helps owners recover utility costs, improve NOI, and meet sustainability goals through data collection, validation, benchmarking, and resident billing programs (RUBS and submeter billing). Anchor operates across most U. S. states and in parts of Canada and Mexico, serving property types including multifamily, new construction, single-family BTR, and student housing.

📋 Description

• Guide multifamily clients through onboarding for Resident Billing, Utility Expense Management, and Vacant Cost Recovery • Lead assigned properties from kickoff through setup in the First Time Billing platform, client approval, and handoff to Operations • Set kickoff expectations, request required information, and communicate progress, next steps, and delays • Manage multiple property implementations, tracking milestones, deadlines, open items, and launch risks • Configure properties in the billing platform using client requirements, utility billing methods, documentation, and billing guidelines • Coordinate First Time Billing and review results for accuracy • Resolve discrepancies with internal teams and obtain client approval • Handoff properties to Operations with approved billing, complete documentation, and open-item records • Partner with Client Engagement, Operations, Accounting, Meter Solutions, and other teams to resolve issues, document processes, and improve onboarding

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience in utility billing, property management, multifamily housing, or a related field • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain billing or setup steps clearly • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail • Ability to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously • Proactive follow-through and accountability for assigned work • Sound problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, including knowing when to escalate • Comfort learning new software, systems, and processes • Direct experience with resident utility billing or utility expense management preferred • Familiarity with RUBS, submetering, direct-billed utilities, or utility billing regulations preferred • Experience with Yardi, Entrata, or AppFolio preferred • Experience in client onboarding, implementation, or account management preferred • Experience reviewing utility invoices, billing reports, or financial documentation preferred
