📋 Description

• Ensure final resolution of each customer inquiry in a timely and courteous manner • Document detailed information relevant to customer contacts • Research systems and contact experts in other company areas when needed • Strive for first-time resolution whenever possible • Communicate clearly and concisely in business English, using correct grammar and precise vocabulary • Explain complex insurance topics and benefits to a wide audience without jargon • Listen, comprehend, ask appropriate questions, and maintain accurate electronic notes • Resolve customer issues related to ABCBS health insurance products, services, and plans • Complete interactions according to company standards, directives, and HIPAA privacy guidelines • Handle complaints and confrontational situations empathetically and negotiate fact-based resolutions • Develop product knowledge regarding benefits and eligibility across multiple lines of business • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum two (2) years' experience in a specialized customer service environment OR two (2) years' college coursework (at least 48 credit hours) plus one (1) year experience in a specialized customer service environment • Customer resolutions, multitasking, active listening, keyboarding, independent work, independent thinking, organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, customer service, problem solving, working in a high-stress environment, and computer literacy • Must pass company proficiency test: Customer Service Assessment • Work from home within Arkansas, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, North Dakota, or Minnesota
