📋 Description

• Lead consequential engineering initiatives from ambiguity to measurable outcomes • Improve architecture, platforms, and engineering practices for simplicity, scalability, operability, and maintainability • Shape technical direction and turn technical strategy into execution across products and engineering teams • Coach senior engineers and teams through better decisions, reusable patterns, and technical leadership • Work across teams and domains on high-leverage engineering problems without formal authority • Use code, architecture, data, and production systems to build context and credibility • Use AI tools to think, build, and ship faster • Report directly to the SVP of Engineering • Complete product, customer, and value proposition onboarding assessments during the first two weeks • Meet defined performance standards during a six-month evaluation period with continuous feedback and accountability

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including Staff, Principal, or equivalent scope • Significant experience designing, building, and operating complex production systems • Breadth across architecture, delivery, reliability, performance, and operations • Career history of increasing scope and leverage beyond personal code or immediate team • Sense of urgency and ability to create momentum and move important work forward • Self-direction and ownership to thrive in a remote environment • Proactive communication, problem surfacing, and solution-oriented thinking • Curiosity and humility to challenge assumptions, seek context, disagree constructively, and commit to decisions • Instinctive use of AI to accelerate work • Ability to complete scored onboarding assessments and meet performance standards during a six-month evaluation period
