📋 Description

• Build and maintain customer relationships through phone, email, and other communications • Create and modify patient orders and demographics according to complex ordering procedures, processes, and policies • Prioritize, research, and respond to requests for test information, specimen requirements, supplies, and fees • Foster communication and provide exceptional customer service in professional interactions • Exercise judgment regarding complex job requirements to serve patients, customers, and ARUP • Document and follow through on customer cases to support satisfaction • Provide education, guidance, and resolution regarding available resources, information, and application utility • Use multiple ARUP systems to research and resolve customer issues • Serve as a liaison between ARUP customers and technical sections • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or better • Ability to type at 35 WPM and use 10-key skills • Basic computer skills, including internet proficiency and effective navigation of computer and phone systems • Remote workers: internet download speed of 75 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps, or ability to obtain this before the start date • Ability to frequently communicate with others • Ability to perform sedentary work and occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force • Fine motor control for picking, pinching, typing, or related tasks • Ability to stoop, reach, and occasionally move between work sites and inside the office • Ability to use personal protective equipment in a biohazard laboratory environment • Compliance with ARUP policies and procedures • Preferred: college-level courses in medical terminology, biology, communications, or related life sciences • Preferred: general medical laboratory experience • Preferred: one year of customer service experience • Preferred: familiarity with a laboratory information system (LIS) • Preferred: intermediate computer skills • Preferred: HIPAA training or knowledge
