📋 Description

• Manage customers’ import/export brokerage and freight forwarding needs throughout the lifecycle of an engagement • Request and analyze shipping options and recommend routing based on price, transit time, carrier options, and customer requirements • Monitor shipment loading, departure, transit, arrival, and final delivery • Problem-solve unforeseen shipment issues using Federal Maritime Commission and U.S. Customs regulations • Serve as the direct point of contact for assigned customers and exceed customer expectations • Prepare and execute documents for U.S. Customs and other government agencies • Quote rates with the internal quote department and determine optimal routing and carrier options • Ensure billing is accurate and timely • Maintain and help create company policies related to credit, pricing, account management, and service delivery • Act as power of attorney to sign official company documents • Maintain and organize client transactional records • Maintain compliance with worldwide import/export regulations • Prepare letters of credit • May visit customer locations with the General Manager or assigned Sales Executive • Work with operations and company departments using independent judgment to achieve assigned objectives • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• CES or CCS preferred; LCB helpful • High school diploma or GED required • College degree helpful • 3–5 years of industry experience required • Experience with international logistics across all modes • Understanding of the customs process • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ten-key skills • Ability to apply percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations • Ability to calculate discounts, rates, area, circumference, and volume • Current valid driver’s license required • Ability to safeguard highly restricted information and maintain confidentiality • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate multiple tasks and projects • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule instructions • Ability to work independently and remain organized, punctual, honest, and self-motivated
