• Provide software development and long-term software O&M/sustaining support for the ARMD Test Data Portal (ATDP) • Perform daily system health checks • Monitor system capacity • Manage users and permissions • Manage storage • Assist with new feature development • Recommend and implement authorized technical approaches for data management and integration solutions • Improve system integration, performance, efficiency, intellectual property security, and technical innovation • Provide problem resolution support for NASA users • Manage software updates and security configurations for third-party platforms and tools • Track and update service tickets for user issues and internal system management tasks • Mentor and train junior team members
• Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent years of experience • 4–6 years of related software development/administration experience, including a minimum of 2 years software development • Active Security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance • Development experience with an object-oriented language, Java and/or C++ • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including object-oriented analysis and design, service-oriented architectures (SOA), SOLID principles, and design patterns • Experience with requirements development, source control management, configuration management, bug tracking, and other development tools • Experience managing application security, including encryption protocols, LDAP or Kerberos authentication, certificates, and OS/application hardening • Ability to prioritize tasks to deliver project milestones and meet project deadlines • Strong communication/written skills and ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and software developers • Strong understanding of DevOps and familiarity with DevOps tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, and Puppet • General knowledge of Red Hat Linux operating systems and software development • Formal software development standards and processes, primarily Agile, version control processes, and container management software • JavaScript and jQuery • Visual Studio, NetBeans, or Eclipse • Atlassian tools including Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Crucible, and FishEye • XML • Web Services, Apache, and Spring Boot • HDF5 file format • MongoDB • Cloud hosting and development such as AWS and Azure
• Remote work option • 9/80 schedule • Typical hours of 7:30am–5:00pm, west coast hours • Active Security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance
