📋 Description

• Achieve or exceed sales objectives in the assigned territory • Create and maintain targeted, account-specific business plans based on local market forces, diagnostic pathways, referral patterns, and treatment adoption • Develop clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge across assigned indications, emphasizing renal disease education and nephrology customer needs • Educate providers on relevant disease states to support differential diagnosis, appropriate testing, and timely treatment • Build and maintain relationships with nephrologists and stakeholders across academic centers, community hospital systems, physician clinics, infusion centers, and related care sites • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including RAMs, TLLs, SALs, MSLs, FRMs, PEMs, Market Access, Diagnostics, and enterprise partners • Handle customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology, compliantly triaging inquiries as needed • Demonstrate proper product use to clinicians in hospital, clinic, and infusion-center environments • Lead a patient-centric partnership model involving physicians, staff, patients, clinics, hospitals, and care partners • Use CRM tools to manage territory priorities, track account engagement, document sales activities, submit reports, and use embedded AI tools to prioritize opportunities and optimize call execution • Use AI-driven insights for territory planning, HCP targeting, and pre-call strategy; translate analytics into customer engagement and account action plans • Execute local promotional activities and programs for assigned therapeutic areas • Provide product expertise and customer service to accounts • Interact with Alexion management to refine product and market initiatives using field insights, access trends, and account needs • Perform work in alignment with Alexion’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and company policies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 5 years of pharmaceutical sales or equivalent experience, such as biotech or medical device, or 5 years of experience in a medical setting • Proven, documented track record of consistent, top-tier sales results in institutions, hospital systems, and/or complex specialty markets • Ability to work independently and interdependently in a team-oriented environment • Strong clinical acumen, account-based selling, analytical, and strategic skills • Demonstrated ability to seek out and qualify leads, profile new accounts, and build durable relationships with healthcare providers and office staff • Ability to gain consistent access and develop professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers • Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational abilities • Must live in the geographic territory or within 50 miles of its border • Ability to travel regularly within the territory, including possible frequent overnight and weekend travel • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Ability to travel by public transportation, automobile, train, or plane; work comfortably in a clinical setting; use a computer; communicate via phone, video, and electronic messaging; problem solve; engage in complex analysis and dialogue; collaborate; and remain generally available during standard business hours • Preferred: advanced or master’s degree • Preferred: 5 years of pharmaceutical sales or equivalent experience in specialty, rare disease, nephrology, or related markets • Preferred: sales experience in orphan or ultra-orphan areas • Preferred: bio/pharma, nephrology, renal disease, and/or hematology experience
