📋 Description

• Build and run the trade and partnership outbound engine • Define segments, pull and enrich lists, verify and score contacts, write and track sequences, and determine when outreach should be manual • Arm the field team for sampling, shop visits, and trade shows with target lists, routes, one-pagers, and post-visit follow-up sequences • Work alongside the field team to improve each campaign cycle • Own search and content, lifecycle email and SMS, subscription retention, and referral programs • Manage win-back, dunning recovery, pause-instead-of-cancel, and referral reconciliation programs • Produce in-house creative with AI tools while following the brand's existing visual system • Decide when to generate creative, composite real product photography, or involve a human • Automate recurring manual work such as enrichment scripts, list hygiene, report pulls, campaign QA, and content pipelines • Own first-party measurement across order and subscription data, cohort retention, referral attribution, and search visibility • Identify inaccurate metrics before they affect decision-making • Report directly to the two founders at manager level with no direct reports • Build campaign machinery and automation for a regulated nicotine-product DTC business • Participate in the interview exercise by producing a scored, enriched contact list, a three-touch sequence, and the script or flow generating it

🎯 Requirements

• Real, hands-on experience directing Claude Code or an equivalent coding agent on live work, connected to an API or MCP server, with something still in use today • 3+ years of hands-on marketing experience • Cold outbound experience from start to finish, including list building, sequence writing, reply-rate monitoring, deliverability troubleshooting, Apollo or equivalent, and at least one sequencer • Comfortable reading CSV files and writing SQL or learning it with help • Understanding of how bad joins can double numbers • Working scripting ability in Python or JavaScript, or demonstrated ability to direct AI to write and debug scripts • Familiarity with APIs, authentication, keys, rate limits, webhooks, and technical documentation • Genuine marketing judgment and ability to identify strong offers, broken pages, and effective retail-buyer emails • Clear, specific, filler-free writing • Ability to work with 9–5 CT overlap if remote • Experience with the listed stack is a bonus • Regulated or high-constraint category marketing experience is a bonus • DTC subscription or ecommerce experience, especially retention/win-back and referral mechanics, is a bonus
