📋 Description

• Assist customers and representatives in applying and selling product lines • Filter and respond to customer and sales representative inquiries • Determine feasibility of modified or new systems and products • Meet with customers to discuss, refine, and offer products, enhancements, or alternatives • Formulate descriptive line-item quotations based on standard unit costs • Create timeline schedules and final revised detailed quotations • Define detailed product specifications once an order is imminent • Transfer projects to the engineering project group after a sale is complete • Create, manage, and coordinate customer quotes and orders • Facilitate and manage special product orders with internal departments • Train and assist other Application Engineers • Prepare bids and technical and commercial proposals • Interface with customers regarding technical issues, quality, and scheduling • Liaise between customers and internal resources • Perform technical reviews of requests for proposals • Obtain cost estimates • Coordinate timelines with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and engineering management • Create project reports for management review • Provide training and technical presentations for internal and external salespeople • Assist with marketing and technical documents • Develop internal relationships with Product Managers, Application Engineers, and outside sales

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline • 5–8 years of relevant application and technical sales experience • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and metric system conversions • Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, installation manuals, routings, and other manufacturing instructions • Working knowledge of ERP systems • Ability to travel approximately 20%
